At Concurrent Behavior Analysis, we're redefining the way behavior analysis is practiced, with a strong commitment to moving beyond traditional ABA methods that the neurodiverse community has raised concerns about. We focus on trauma-assumed, assent-based therapy, ensuring that every individual we work with feels heard, respected, and empowered.
Founded by Eric Altman, a dedicated behavior analyst with a passion for ethical and compassionate care, our practice integrates evidence-based strategies that prioritize the well-being and autonomy of our clients. Eric's journey began in Joplin, Missouri, where he started his career supporting individuals with disabilities. Over the years, he has evolved his approach, becoming a certified implementer in Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skills-Based Treatment (SBT). He also utilizes the Happy Medium approach and AIM (Accept, Identify, Move) to create a supportive and effective therapeutic environment.
We are guided by the principles of "Today's ABA," which emphasizes the importance of ethical practice, compassionate care, and the prioritization of client dignity and choice. At Concurrent Behavior Analysis, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of treatment integrity and rely on the latest research to inform our practices.
Navigating the complexities of the special education system can be overwhelming for families. That’s why we offer comprehensive school consultation services to help you understand and advocate for your child's rights. With expertise in conducting, writing, and reviewing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), we stand by your side throughout the entire process.
Whether it's securing medical necessity for services, ensuring your child receives a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), or advocating during school meetings, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and support needed to make informed decisions. We work closely with families and school districts to create individualized strategies that lead to positive educational outcomes, ensuring that your child receives the accommodations and support they deserve.
Our mission is to make trauma-assumed ABA accessible to all who need it, whether you're an ABA organization looking to learn PFA/SBT, a school district seeking consultation, or a family in need of direct therapy services. We are here to support you with personalized, research-driven care that truly makes a difference.
